The weekend has arrived and though Matt has an out-of-town tournament, Kate and I are going to enjoy the warm weather today. She has already started relaxing on the porch. All she needs is a margarita. That's my gal!

you've got a friend

I bought the jumper this week. Gave into the "what every child must have" list. Since I want Kate to experience it all, this was the next purchase for this stage. Less time in my arms, more time in toys. That is the theory and for the most part, it is working. The first picture is Kate's reaction to the tile underneath her feet instead of carpet. Drake came to the rescue, a friend indeed.
Bedtime Stories

unscheduled layover
Traveling is not easy with an infant. Add to that fact the weather that the south was having and it is a deadly combination. All was great leaving Naples: the sun was shining, we checked our bags curbside, the hour delay in Ft Myers would be fine to make our connection in Atlanta because all flights were having problems. Then we sat on the tarmac for an hour and a half. You read right. Landing in Atlanta, our flight to Nashville was taking off. We probably crossed paths on the runway. "Oh so sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Mason. We did book you on tomorrow's flight at 8 a.m." Time check? 4 p.m. Compensation? None. T.G.F.F.! Huh? Thank Goodness for Fran! She saved the day by NOT having plans on a Friday night! Oh so excited to have Kate back in her condo, she graciously picked us up at the airport where we traveled a la Britney Spears (no car seat as it was checked) to her condo. We took a Target run for essentials and then hunkered down for the night. After Kate's bedime we enjoyed Italian takeout with Fran and Scott and all seemed like a planned visit to Atlanta (minus the quick washing of all clothing and the 6 a.m. wake up for the trip BACK to the airport). What a fun little visit!
