Rockettes and Opryland hotel

24 November 2011

I have more photos on my phone, but these are a few of the ones I took with my real camera at the hotel. We went to see the Nashville Rockettes last weekend and stayed at the Opryland hotel. These two activities are the best to put the holiday spirit into all. Kate loved the show. We had a row that was EMPTY next to us, so we moved over and saw it all! Great time. Dinner was great at the hotel, and then we went to our room where both rooms had balconies into the Delta. Loved it!!! Kate did NOT want to come home (nor did I). Thank you, Mom and Martha, for such a fun experience for us. We LOVED it!

Annie's Birthday Party

This year, Annie had her birthday party at the Gymnast. Kate was so excited to attend a 7 (!!) year-old's birthday party, and even more fun was that Tate was there. The daddy's even attended and hung out together, which was neat. While wrapping Annie's gifts, Kate kept saying, "I wish I could have that." Nice because she is getting quite a few of the same gifts (all Hobby Lobby craft things...Annie's requests). Thank you, Powers family, for letting us be part of your celebrations!

Trick-or-Treating

01 November 2011

Kate was able to go visit a few houses on Halloween night before the cold (and the light-up sparkle shoes) got the best of her. Kate transformed into Aurora at Mom and Grandaddy's house and took a picture with the pumpkins and Prince Norman. We then headed to the Mason's house, Mee Ma's apartment, and down a few streets to gather the goods. Kate's haul brings her to ask every second if she can have some candy. I am such a stingy mother about it that she will be eating Halloween candy until Christmas!
