Random picture of Drake trying to pass the ball to Kate to play. He loves running in the snow!
When we moved to the front yard, Drake came, too. Look to the left!
First run...sitting up...excited!
anticipation...
Matt had to go sledding as well...several times!
snow day
The new year has brought us two one-hour school delays and two snow days. Honestly, I love these days! We didn't have a lot of snow -- only about three inches -- but it was a fun day outside. This was the first time we bundled up and went out to play in the snow. Kate wanted to make snowballs and snow angels, so we attempted them. The snow did not pack well, but that is not to say she did not try.
This just screams "snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes."
After telling Kate that snow just tasted like ice and/or water, she finally tried it. I did not want to bring up the whole "we can make ice cream" thing because I didn't want to be stuck making ice cream, so we just licked clean snow (we also had a discussion about that).
Matt came home for a little morning sledding. Papaw and Mimi gave Kate a sled for her birthday and with our fantastic driveway and hills, Kate was able to get speed and fly!
I don't think she was scared one bit!
