Saturday night we were invited to fun dinner with Kelly and Jason. They have 3 kids and we brought Kate for burgers and corn hole. Kate and Tate enjoyed playing corn hole and it even seems that Kate taught Tate a few things. Later, Kate became the "real" baby for Annie. Don't be fooled; she enjoyed riding around in the doll stroller. (Don't pay attention to the potty-full diaper sneaking out of her shorts).

One of the best things about Marci babysitting is that she takes pictures of Kate when I am slacking. Kate needed a bath after school, coloring, playing outside, eating dinner, etc. (duh), so Marci was happy to oblige that night. I could never get Kate to be this silly for me, but Marci did a great job capturing just how goofy Kate is. (And why I don't have many "angelic" pictures of her).
I *heart* school
Kate went to preschool for the first time on Friday. This is a new experience and something she is going to do from 8:30-11 each Friday. We toured last Tuesday and Kate was hysterical when we had to leave -- way too much to do at The Little House of Learning.
I didn't know if she would remember this on Friday when my mom dropped her off for her first day; she did. When Marci arrived to pick her up, Kate did not want to leave again. Marci used the primary bribe tool -- food -- to get her to leave.
This is Kate's first artistic piece from school. I feel like a true MOM with it hanging on the fridge.

I wish I could say that I have not updated because the memory card or even my camera is lost, but that is not true.
The truth? School planning is kicking my rear and the time I am with Kate, I.Am.With.Kate. We have been far more playful, run more errands, and prepared more meals than we ever have! (Please do not judge by the picture).
After the hectic day, Kate unwinds with some "hot tots" from the "cokie" place...aka Sonic.
grab the bull by the horns

The title was just a test to see if you knew that this is really Babe, the blue ox. I totally stole this picture from Amy and Craig, but I would not have to steal if she would send them to me (hint, hint). The next couple of posts will be from MN, but I wanted to share the pics with the family (and anyone else who reads my sad little blog)!
