Paul Bunyan Bowl

29 June 2009

Because the weather has not been the best (20-30 mph winds), we went family bowling today. Kate got the chance to bowl some of the time. Here she is bowling for Amy. Jeremy is helping her with placement and speed. Notice the fact that only 2 pins are left. Kate got 2 spares and 6 pins in her bowls. She rocked.

child-friendly seating

Amy was getting stuff out for lunch (not very quickly I might add), and Kate took the opportunity to take a seat. Good thing we have a fridge where the freezer is on the bottom or we would be in trouble!

taking lessons

Before Amy and Craig arrived, we decided sidewalk chalk "welcome" signs for them. Kate gave the art lesson.

a new placemat

28 June 2009

Grandpa and Grandma knew the way to Kate's heart...a Sesame Street placemat from the dollar bins at Target! She had to teach who all of the characters were though.

ole, senioritas!

Last semester on Fridays, Kate spent the afternoon with Chelsea and her twin, Brennan. Often Chelsea would ask if she could take Kate to lunch (being young does have its perks). Here they are enjoying lunch at the Mexican restaurant. Chelsea just found these on her computer, so she sent them to me. I had to laugh OUT LOUD at my child's faces. She was in good hands for sure! Thanks for a great 18 Fridays, Chelsea!!

whatever makes your skirt fly up

Kate found the floor air vent at the club tonight. LOVED it.

apples and injuries

One of Kate's favorite words is apple; however it is said more like ahhhhpple. Go Southerner! I was enjoying a Granny Smith (and thinking there was no way this child would eat something sour) when she surprised me and ate half of it! While trying to document the sour look she made each time she ate the ahhhhpple, I managed to showcase her new nose injuries! No idea how they happened.

Last weekend Kate and I went to the airport for a private fly-in of military planes hosted by a family friend. Kate thought it was super cool to see the planes do fly-bys. Above, she is waving at the plane as it taxis in.
Up there...
Do you see it, Mom?
And off she goes!

dinnertime entertainment

03 June 2009

While out for dinner with my parents, Kate decided a game of "Where's Kate?" needed to be played with her coloring menu. Very odd choice, especially since the waiter was trying to take our orders, but he, too, laughed at her antics.

biker chic

Yesterday my mom picked Kate up from the babysitter as a surprise for Kate. She had already gotten the Sonic Cokes that Kate loves (don't comment, please). I went over to pick up Kate but she was too busy playing to notice I was there (yet alone want to leave). So, I let her enjoy the 90 degree day.
