We love the park

11 April 2014

Seriously, I think my kids could live at a park.  Cambier Park is a favorite of ours.  Partly because we go when we are in Naples, partly because Starbucks and restaurants are close by.  We went almost every day to the park.  We like the morning hours, when the heat isn't extreme and when we can have the park with only a few other families.
Jack loved the ramp and he loved the cargo net.  He spent many runs going up and down while Kate ran through the rest of the park.  Of course, he wanted to know where she was and what she was doing, but he always came back to the ramp and the cargo net.
Daddy was at the park with us most of the times we went.
 Peek-a-boo!

Jack saw some other kids drinking out of the water fountain, so he had to as well.  Another thing he had to master at the park.

 PLANE!
My beautiful girl who has changed so much since her early pictures at the park.
And this t-shirt has become one of her favorites for this season.

Naples fun

10 April 2014

Kate had a scooter at the grandparents, but it was so windy most days, we didn't go for long walks like we thought we would.  Jack thought it was big enough to take a few turns on it, too.
On our way to dinner, Kate and I found some boats we liked.  And with a mere $500K, it could be ours.
Dining at Riverwalk -- Jack actually ate most of the times we went out.
Trying for a cute shot of the two of them.

 And the two of them.
Sometimes, life is hard and your head gets heavy.  Time to rest it on the bread plate!
After dinner ice cream.  Superwoman is the new flavor!
We went to the pier to see what was happening.  Jack liked the gulls, but he was happy grandpa was there to be eaten first!

The Beach Life for Me

09 April 2014

Jack's rash guard says it best - the beach life for me.  Grandpa, Grandma, and the rest of us had a beach afternoon.  Jack was not afraid.  At all.  The grandparents had already taken the kids on parents night out, but we wanted some time to play.  And play they did.

Due to Kate having strep throat while in Florida, we had to buy a rash guard for her to wear when she was out for a lot of the day in the sunshine.  She coped well with it, considering she didn't want to wear it.

Grandma has a big shell vase, and she and Kate went to find more shells to put in it.

 The Dude loved the waves.

 Kate was observant.

 Grandpa was the observer.
A little frisbee for the afternoon minus Jack wanting to play.

 A couple of sandcastles.
 Notice the tongue.

Daddy took an apprehensive Kate out in the ocean.

Jack saw a plane, of course.
 Surfer Girl.

Jack was upset because Daddy was out in the waves without him.

Jack sporting my sunglasses (that I broke on the way home).

And a selfie to prove, again, that I was on the trip.
