picture perfect

today we had our first "real" photographer family pictures. 9:00 a.m. is a bad time for a kiddo that usually goes down for a nap between 8:30 and 9:30, but we pressed our luck to take a few scenic pictures at my uncle's cabin. kate was a trooper, but one hour into it, she decided that she was FINISHED. after a bottle, her second wind kicked in and i decided to chance it and change her into her ruffled diaper cover that matched her hat. kate cooperated on a few beach pictures with just me. i am not the professional, and i am sure the shadow of her should be somewhere else, but i loved this picture in all its simplicity. later i can worry about the sunscreen and the sand that eventually she put in her mouth. for this moment, all was perfect.
