Fall Break Activities

Fall break this year was spent at home.  We love this weather, and we love being able to have lazy mornings and then play time in the afternoon.  We were busy this year - doing an activity for each day.  We went to Reid's Orchard to play on the outdoor playground.  The kids loved climbing, running, and playing in the corn crib.

 Kate had her amazing babysitter Carri over and they made this pumpkin for her room.  Carri knows the way to Kate's blinged out heart!

 I surprised Kate with VIP tickets to Disney on Ice: Frozen.  She had no idea until the day before, and she was so excited.  Planned her outfit and was ready to go without me asking to get ready!

 She wanted to pose next to the "new" recycle toter because it was PINK!

 We got to Nashville early enough to eat at the Spaghetti Factory where Kate thought she would like the cotton candy cocktail (she didn't).  But it looked cool, so she took pictures with it.

 Girlfriend wanted an Elsa doll so bad.  I told her we weren't going to get one because they were too much, and she sat so calmly and didn't throw a fit at all.  SO...we got one.  I mean, I had to reward the good behavior, right?  And then the guilt of not getting Anna began in me, so I talked myself into getting her after...because it is about family and they can't be apart.  Wasn't that the whole point of the movie?

 The show was great - and I kept forgetting they were ice skating because it was so theatrical.

 After, Kate posed with both - and we brought Olaf home for Jack.

 Daddy and the kids got the magic sand out and had an awesome time cutting and playing.

 We had family movie night and even Jack got in on the pallet action.  Popcorn and a movie - nothing better for bonding!

 Chuck E. Cheese was also on the list of things to do, places to see.  We arrived early so it wasn't crowded, and the kids enjoyed it so much!

 We practiced SELFIE faces for fun.

 We had the sketched pictures done in the photo booth.

 And we had to stop at Krispie Kreme on the way home ... because that is what you do when you go to Evansville!

 Plenty of playtime outside also helped rock our break.

 Norman was out to visit, and that made us all very happy.

 We went for walks with mom - and took latte breaks while at the dog park.

 And Kate did a cupcakes and canvas party at Studio Slant.  She absolutely loved painting her canvas and I am certain we will do more of these.

 The kids found Matt's hats in his truck, so a fashion show happened on the way to dinner -- and they wanted pictures of themselves in the hats.

 A slight addiction to chips and cheese also exists in both of my kids.
