Grandma and Grandpa visited and we celebrated fall and Halloween

31 October 2014

After fall break, we were still in full swing with school and activities.  Kate dressed as her favorite princess, which happens to be Elsa AND her halloween costume for this year.  She wore it to school and loved every minute of "letting it go."  Jack goes to school five days a week and loves to do art.  He also loves the friends and teachers he has.  We are lucky.
This picture of the boys makes me laugh because they are such good friends and love school so much.  When their teacher sent this picture, both of the moms giggled, because they look so unhappy at school  SOOOOO not the case!

He found his sunglasses again, so he started wearing them in the car.  Watch out, TOM; he is still GUNNING for you!

Grandma and Grandpa came to town on their way to Florida and they were lucky enough to have a gorgeous weekend in the big O.  We spent one whole morning at the River enjoying the surrounds and park.  Then Grandpa and Kate did pumpkins for the afternoon.  We also went to the annual Halloween party where Jack was Olaf for about five minutes.  Kate boogied and played with her friends and the parents met some of ours.

Great carving jobs!

On Halloween, we loaded up and went "into town" where actual people live so we could gather candy.  We visited a few houses and then enjoyed a fun night at a friends' party.
Of course we had to visit Martha on our trip and Kate wanted a picture with her.

The rest of the month was spent just enjoying.  I miss my little girl but I am in awe of all she is becoming.  She is so independent and so loyal to her family.  She loves Jack with her whole being, and it is so sweet to watch them together.  He wants to do all that she does and be part of her whole day; sometimes without letting her breathe.

This gut is one of my favorite things, too.  I love snuggling with him, and he kinda likes it as well!

Jack is really getting into baking and enjoys the time we spend making things.  Kate always does as well.  We surprised her with monkey bread one morning.
