Slippery Slopes

04 February 2014

For the entire month of February, Kate has been out of school due to weather.  We had snow on Superbowl Sunday, then freezing rain, cold winds, more freezing rain, and now more snow.  It has been beautiful...and cold.  Matt went to work each day, but he did come home to sled with us one afternoon.  We went right out the back door, and we had a great time.  On Superbowl Sunday, I managed to drop my phone in water, so I was only able to capture pictures on my big camera.  That was good, but I didn't get as many as usual due to wanting to sled and play as well.

Matt and Jack went first.
 Jack loved it.
Drake ran down with everyone who went.  And then back up.  This is why he went to bed two hours before everyone else.
Kate helped start the sled.  One good push...
And they were off.  Jack knew what was going to happen this time around, and he anticipated the fun of this!
 Kate went on the saucer.
Matt tried pulling Jack back up the hill.  Jack didn't get the "hold on" thing.

Then I went with Jack.  Drake was ready!

 Kate gave us a push...
 And we were off!
 Proud girl of her push.
At the bottom of the hill.
Drake loved eating the snow and throwing the snow.
Matt went down alone, to see if he could hurt his back.
 Jack watched.
 Kate caught snowflakes.
Drake watched it all, and enjoyed the family play time outside.
Jack wanted to go play in his playhouse.  He couldn't get the door opened due to a snow drift.

 Photos with Daddy.

Jack rounded the playhouse and lost his hat and mittens in the bush.  Once the snow got on his had, it was O.V.E.R.  Time go to inside.
