After a fun day at the pool with games and inflatables, we went home, showered and returned after dinner to watch the fireworks. We didn't know how Jack would be with the fireworks, but he watched the ones at neighboring houses and was just fine. Kate was surprised with a visit from Fran, so she had to keep moving between friends and Fran. Choices are tough when you are five!
Kate has a crush on one of the teenage swim team members. He does this pose when he goes off the board in the contests, and Kate pulled it out for a photo before the fireworks. By the way, with all of the cheering, Kate won the biggest splash contest during the games. I think they might have been rigged, but bless her heart, she did it!

The next day we went over to mom's to visit with Fran. We took a quick bike ride around the 'hood.
And Jack was obsessed with Fran's new toy -- Rooma. The vacuum. He knew how to turn it on and kept following it around.
Kate, Matt, and Fran had to do some bike maintenance and were quite fixated on the fixing of the basket.
Finally Kate gave up and just went to play with Jack. Good decision!
