Kate mentioned that she did not want to do swim team this year. That was not going to be the option due to the confidence she gained last summer. The first day of practice, she jumped right in and after, was so excited she was on swim team again. She has made great changes in her ability - from confidence to not hitting the wall in backstroke to the desire to swim all four strokes. This girl is loving the team. She is far more aware of who is ahead of her and who is behind her than I would like, but she is not competitive with her friends, which is great to see.
